The rights of the women which has been taken by extortion must be declared null and void
This decision, which was taken by usurping the will of millions of women, is considered as null and void. As women, we do not recognize this decision. We will continue to defend the rights to life of women, children, LGBTI+ individuals and the Istanbul Convention.
The women’s struggle, which has gained important visibility all over the world in recent years, terrified R. T. Erdogan. For this reason, he announced that he abrogated the Istanbul Convention by trampling on “The Constitution” they have created, just like the coups he carried out, the wars they declared, the operations carried out on the homes, with a decision at midnight.
The current representative of Turkish fascism, R. T. Erdogan, and his ally MHP+AKP government have once again proven that they are misogynists and have a reactionary, jihadist mentality that tries to imprison women inside the home. The right to life of women, children and LGBTI+ individuals cannot be dependent on a decision that comes between one’s lips. They try to cover up political and economic crisis by attacking “HDP” Party, the Kurdish people. We will not allow the government to take away our fundamental rights.
THE ISTANBUL CONVENTION WILL COME BACK!
They are afraid of women and they are right to be afraid … However, if they think that the women can be obeyed by the decisions taken at midnight and that they can prevent the fight of women, they should know that they are terribly wrong … As they could not finish the women even though they burned thousands of them alive by calling them “witches” in the darkness of the Middle Ages, they should not forget that we are the descendants of those witches they could not finish, they will not make us kneel down.
As European Women’s Solidarity; we say that the decision taken by usurping the willing of women is nonexistent for us and once again we want to underline that we will not leave the streets until we bring back the Istanbul Convention as we have won all our rights on the streets. Once again, we will regain our earned rights and the Istanbul Convention will be back! Whether they want it or not we will make geder equality accepted!
