Aktion: QTIBIPOCs honoring the resistance of Black and brown trans and queer folx***

On the 51st anniversary, an anonymous group of QTIBIPOC marked their presence in the neighborhood of Nørrebro and encouraged to queer resistance with cobble stones with the following text:

Stonewall Forever!

On the 28th of June 1969, a group of Black and brown queer and trans people started a riot against the police. They set New York on fire and the flames spread globally. Today, we still feel the heat and it turns us on.

We remember our ancestors Zazu Nova, Stormé DeLarverie, Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P. Johnson and pay tribute to everyone else who has broken windows, torn down statues, set fire to policestations, started riots in jails and camps, shot settlers and taken their land back, sent white nuclear families on the run, and loved doing it.

Lesbians, gays, trans people and queers: Let’s find each other in the flames and build the world anew.
